Naturopathy is a holistic system of alternative medicine that focuses on promoting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is based on the principle that the human body has an inbuilt healing power, and when given the right environment, nutrition, and care, it can restore balance and health naturally. Naturopathy uses natural methods such as herbs, nutritious food, lifestyle improvement, yoga, meditation, hydrotherapy, and other drug-free remedies to support wellness and prevent disease.
The word naturopathy comes from two ideas: “nature” and “path,” meaning healing through nature. Instead of only treating symptoms, naturopathy aims to find and address the root cause of health problems. It looks at the whole person—body, mind, and emotions—because all parts of health are connected. A naturopathic approach believes that true healing happens when physical health, mental peace, and healthy habits are in balance.
