Internship Activities

1. Orientation & Safety Training

  • Clinical setup & sterilization methods.

  • Needle handling, hygiene, and infection control.

  • Contraindications & emergency precautions.

2. Acupuncture Points & Meridians

  • Revision of important meridians.

  • Locating acupoints on real patients.

  • Palpation and sensitivity testing.

3. Needle Insertion & Techniques

  • Demonstration of safe insertion techniques.

  • Depth, angle, and duration of needle retention.

  • Use of adjunct therapies (moxibustion, cupping, electro-acupuncture).

4. Clinical Practice

  • Treating common conditions under supervision:

    • Pain management (back pain, knee pain, arthritis)

    • Stress, anxiety, insomnia

    • Digestive disorders

    • Respiratory issues (asthma, sinusitis)

5. Case Studies & Documentation

  • Each student prepares 5–10 case reports:

    • Patient problem

    • Points used

    • Technique applied

    • Response & feedback

6. Supervision & Feedback

  • Corrections in point selection & needle technique.

7. Final Evaluation & Certification

Qualification Criteria: Only students who have successfully completed the Diploma in Acupuncture (D.Ac.) are eligible for this internship
