Syllabus:

Internship Activities

1. Orientation & Safety Training

  • Introduction to cupping sets, equipment, sterilization.

  • Hygiene protocols, infection control & safety measures.

  • Contraindications and precautions in cupping.

2. Types of Cupping

  • Dry Cupping – suction cups without bleeding.

  • Wet Cupping (Hijama) – controlled therapeutic bleeding.

  • Fire Cupping – traditional method with flame & suction.

  • Moving Cupping – massage + suction technique.

3. Practical Sessions

  • Demonstration of cup placement on different body areas.

  • Practice on volunteers/patients under supervision.

  • Treatment of common conditions:

    • Back & Neck Pain

    • Joint Pain & Arthritis

    • Stress & Fatigue

    • Skin & Blood Circulation Issues

4. Case Studies & Documentation

  • Each student must complete 5–10 case reports including:

    • Patient details & complaints

    • Type of cupping used

    • Session details (number of cups, duration)

    • Results & client feedback

5. Observation & Supervision

  • Mentor checks cup placement, suction strength & safety.

  • Guidance on session duration and follow-up care.

6. Professional Skills

  • Patient communication & comfort.

  • Managing side effects (mild bruising, dizziness, etc.).

  • Clinical ethics and professional responsibility.

7. Final Evaluation & Certification

  • Practical test: Perform one full cupping session.

  • Submission of case study file.

  • Award of Internship Completion Certificate in Cupping Therapy.
Qualification Criteria: Only students who have successfully completed the Diploma in Cupping Therapy (D.Cup.T.) are eligible for this internship.
Internship Available City: Kashmir
Internship Certificate: After successful completion of the internship, students will be awarded an Internship Completion Certificate in Cupping Therapy.
