1. Orientation & Safety Training

  • Panchakarma therapy room setup.

  • Hygiene, sterilization, and patient safety.

  • Contraindications and precautions.

2. Panchakarma Principles

  • Concept of Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha).

  • Indications and benefits of Panchakarma.

  • Patient assessment before therapy.

3. Panchakarma Procedures

  • Purvakarma (Preparatory methods):

    • Snehan (oleation)

    • Swedan (fomentation)

  • Pradhankarma (Main therapies):

    • Vaman (therapeutic emesis)

    • Virechan (therapeutic purgation)

    • Basti (medicated enema)

    • Nasya (nasal therapy)

    • Raktamokshan (blood-letting)

  • Paschatkarma (Post-therapy care):

    • Sansarjana Krama (dietary regimen)

    • Lifestyle modifications.

4. Clinical Practice

Supervised training in:

  • Abhyanga (therapeutic oil massage).

  • Shirodhara (oil pouring on forehead).

  • Kati Basti, Janu Basti, Greeva Basti (oil pooling therapies).

  • Vaman, Virechan & Basti demonstrations (where applicable).

5. Case Studies & Documentation

Each student prepares 5–10 case reports including:

  • Patient condition.

  • Panchakarma therapy given.

  • Procedure details & outcomes.

  • Patient feedback.

6. Supervision & Feedback

  • Mentor observes Panchakarma procedures.

  • Corrections in method, dosage, and technique.

  • Guidance to improve clinical outcomes.

7. Final Evaluation & Certification

  • Practical exam: Demonstration of Panchakarma procedure.

  • Case study file submission.

  • Award of Internship Completion Certificate in Panchakarma Therapy.

Qualification Criteria:

Only students who have successfully completed the Diploma in Panchakarma (D.P.K.) are eligible for this internship.
